I love my Swiffer but not the price of the replacement pads. I started cutting up old towels to use as pads.. they were more absorbent than the pads they sell, but came off easily and were only one use. Saw these on web the other day and was fascinated.. made one for myself. It didn't have holes for the jets so I added them.. now I am extremely pleased with this item. It stays in place on the mop head, is very absorbent, does a good job getting up some dried on stains and washes out easily. It is totally washable. I have been just hand washing mine and putting it in the California sun to dry, but you can machine wash and dry. Made of cotton yarn in pleasing cozy colors. The pattern on the bottom has better scrubbing texture to get up all the grime! If you want to save money on pads and have an ecofriendly option for your Swiffer wet jet. Please read all the nice review comments I get on this item.. I changed the bottom because one customer said she like to reverse it.. and I think the new bottom is better for this..
