Warm glow ***** These are the perfect size lamps for bedrooms, offices, and small living rooms. I love that they have a dimmer on them. My daughter has one in her room and at night we did it and it serves as a warm night light. I also have one in my office that stays on high all the time. Both have slightly changed the odor in their areas. They have given the areas a cleaner smell (not gain clean, but outdoors on a windy day clean) the lamps are warm to the touch, but never hot. We have not had a problem with them melting or creating a salt sludge but I put them on large coasters just in case. We live in NC, have humid summers, and have a humidifier in my daughters room in the winter; still no signs of melting. (Might just be overly humid areas that have this problem).
