It is mainly used for controlling the LED light fixtures of car, boat and yacht, such as led light bar, headlights, tail lamps, work lights, fog lights, auxiliary lights and so on.
Product Sizes:Surface size is 2" (50mm) x 1"(25mm). Standard size mounting hole 1.41"(36mm) x .86"(22mm).
Detail Information:There are three on-off switches only for three different devices. Each device has an LED that illuminates the lower device icon (blue) constantly.
When you press the switch in the upper position, which is the on position for the device, that upper icon will light up with a blue light. When you press the switch to the lower position, the light on the upper blue icon on that switch turns off, but the switch remains lighted with the lower icon for the device in the lower position.
So remember that these switches will still draw power to light their small device label LED at all times to indicate what device they control. I had to install another master switch for this three switch pod to turn off the power to the switches to prevent current drain from the battery.
As far as the switch itself, all three switches are wired so that there are only two leads foe the whole pod. You only have two lead to hook up a red wire (positive) to the battery power source and a black wire (negative) to the ground.
Each switch has a lug for each device's red wire (positive), and for each black wire for each device, you hook them all up to a common ground or together with the black wire from the switch pod. This makes it simpler to wire using only these two leads for all three devices..a power lead and a ground lead.
