This valve can be mounted any where in the system and has everything built into one valve for front and rear brakes with the adjustable function to the rear brakes and the brake light switch built right into the valve. This can be mounted to either of inline tubes valve brackets that place it below the master as shown or on the side of it. When converting to a dual master or disc brakes the rear drums require less pressure and this valve is put in the front to rear brake line to reduce the pressure to the rear brakes. It can also be used in the front brake lines to reduce pressure. Pressure adjustments range 100-1000 PSI and provide for a maximum decrease of 57% in line pressure. This adjustment lets you fine tune the front to rear braking balance by proportionately decreasing the rear (or in some cases the front) brake line pressure. This can also be used to adjust individual front wheel braking in circle track applications. It comes with the 3/8-24 common fittings, 3/8-24 inverted flare fittings to connect to brake lines.

This adjustable proportioning block allows you to run lines from the master cylinder to the block and then to the appropriate wheels. What is neat about it is that it also contains the proportioning valve and brake light switch. This dramatically reduces the amount of fittings needed and potential leaks.The adjustable proportioning valve regulates rear brake pressure, helping to maintain correct brake bias between front and rear brakes. It is designed for dual bowl master cylinders. The distribution block connects to the master cylinder and distributes brake fluid to all four wheels. An easy to turn handle with directional arrows makes it simple to either increase or decrease rear brake pressure.The block accepts 3/16" brake lines and the inlets and outlets on this unit are 3/8"-24 inverted flare females. It has two inlets from the master cylinder, two outlets to the front brakes and one outlet to the rear brakes. Description

64-65 GM A-body Brass Single Master Cylinder Distribution Block. Application: 64-65 Chevelle, Elcamino, 64-65 GTO Lemans, Tempest 64-65 Oldsmobile, Cutlass, 442, 64-65 Buick skylark This is the distribution block for 64-65 A-body cars. The block mounts to the frame just below the master cylinder and the single master cylinder line screws into the top while the left and right front lines screw into the sides and the front to rear screws into the back. This block is for the single master cylinder cars that are restored using the original drum brakes. Often these blocks are missing, thrown away, or striped. This is not 1966 A-body that block is different, the front to rear brake line went to 1/4" so the fitting is larger. This piece is exact to NOS in every detail. It is the correct size, shape and thickness brass with the bracket attached exactly as the original was. This is a concours level brass part with phosphate bracket. The original is impossible to restore since the bracket does not come off the piece.

Description

1970, 1971, 1972, (Chevelle / Elcamino, Pontiac GTO / Oldsmobile Cutlass 442 / Buick Skylark GS) distribution block: This block was used on all cars, either disc or drum, and is located down on the frame below the master cylinder. This is not a proportioning valve because it does not proportion pressure. If there is a loss of pressure in either the front or rear braking systems, it will activate the brake warning light in the dash. From 1967-72 this block was used on all drum brake cars and with the round hold off valve at the master on disc brake cars from 1967-70. In 1971, disc brake cars used a one piece proportioning valve and the drum brake applications continued to use the distribution block. This block provides equal pressure to the front and rear brakes so it is also great for 4 wheel disc applications. This item is an exact reproduction featuring a brass body, the correct bracket, with gold plating and fully functional internals. You will also find with our current manufacturing procedures, the reproduction has no tool stamping marks and the edges of the part are cleaner than the original. Making this a concourse level part.
