Obtain higher magnification with short focal length. It could bring you a better observation experience in a comfortable situation with high-contrast imaging. A cost-effective eyepiece, you will obtain more details that you have never seen before.

Description

Primarily made for planetary observation, these 1.25" fully multicoated eyepieces give maximum detail and definition across the entire 58 degree field of view. A great value, these eyepieces are exceptional at nearly eliminating lateral color aberration and light scatter often associated with more expensive eyepieces that are better suited for deep space objects. Each eyepiece has 5 lens elements in 3 groups - with the exception of the 20mm eyepiece which has 4 groups.Experienced observers will truly appreciate such generous eye relief at significant magnifications.

The exit pupil distance of planetary eyepiece has achieved 16mm. Planetary eyepiece is equipped with an eyepiece barrel which could be rotated for adjustment and a convertible rubber ring for eyes. Planetary eyepiece has an excellent imaging quality well beyond common PL eyepieces. Every surface of lens is coated repeatedly to ensure high contrast ratio. The planetary eyepiece is suitable for observation of the moon, Jupiter, Mars and Saturn.

It could bring you a better observation experience in a comfortable situation with high-contrast imaging. The planetary eyepiece is optimized for observing bright target with more details. It must have high transmittance and contrast ratio with least lateral chromatic aberration and scattering phenomenon. As for users without tracking system, lateral chromatic aberration and other aberrations are minimized, thus planet passes through the field of view with sharp and high contrast image. In addition, typical planetary eyepieces usually obtain higher magnification with short focal length, since the moon and planets observers are always in the pursuit of details. You can get the same level quality products in our store at half the price of the market now, NEVER EVER MISS IT!

Description

Butterfly Emerges from Stellar Demise in a Planetary Nebula. This celestial object looks like a delicate butterfly. But it is far from serene. What resemble dainty butterfly wings are actually roiling cauldrons of gas heated to more than 36,000 F. The gas is tearing across space at more than 600,000 MPH. Thats fast enough to travel from Earth to the Moon in 24 minutes! A dying star that was once about five times the mass of the Sun is at the center of this fury. It has ejected its envelope of gases and is now unleashing a stream of ultraviolet radiation that is making the cast-off material glow. This object is an example of a planetary nebula, so-named because many of them have a round appearance resembling that of a planet when viewed through a small telescope. The Hubble Space Telescope, snapped this image of the planetary nebula, called the Bug Nebula or the Butterfly Nebula and lies within our Milky Way galaxy, roughly 3,800 light-years away in the constellation Scorpius. The glowing gas is the star's outer layers, expelled over about 2,200 years. The "butterfly" stretches for more than two light-years, which is about half the distance from the Sun to the nearest star, Alpha Centauri. The central star itself cannot be seen, because it is hidden within a doughnut-shaped ring of dust, which appears as a dark band pinching the nebula in the center.

10. Orion 8884 3.0mm Edge-On Planetary Eyepiece

Feature

3mm high-magnification 1.25" eyepiece designed for exceptional planetary and lunar viewing
Flat field design ensures sharp focus out to the edge of the wide 55-degree apparent field of view
Edge-On eyepiece design eliminates barrel distortion and field curvature commonly seen in standard eyepiece designs
Each Edge-On Planetary eyepiece has long 20mm eye relief for comfortable viewing even with eyeglasses on
Ideal eyepiece for high-power viewing of the planets and Moon

Description

Edge-On Planetary eyepieces bring flat-field performance to solar system viewing in the form of three high-magnification focal lengths. Each employs a sophisticated 7-element lens design reminiscent of exotic, high-priced oculars to provide a sharp focus all the way to the edge of their wide 55-degree apparent field of view. The barrel distortion and field curvature aberrations common in standard eyepiece designs are virtually gone. Edge-On Planetary eyepieces let you push the power, whether you're canvassing the lunar terminator or studying the Jovian cloud belts. The 7-element optics are fully multi-coated for high light transmission, and each eyepiece has 20mm eye relief for viewing comfort. Other nice touches: blackened lens edges, pop-down rubber eyeguards, and barrels threaded for 1.25" filters. Barrel diameter: 1.25".
